PRACTICAL AND ECONOMIC ELEGANCE

Effortlessly Manage Time and Sun

Lynx Articulated Awning is produced to offer the most practical and budget-friendly shading for outdoor spaces, from homes to cafes, balconies to terraces and large gardens. Reinforced with aluminum injection-molded parts, this modular system provides perfect shading according to the vertical angle of the sun, thanks to its stepless pitch adjustment up to 45 degrees.

Manufactured at Real facilities from first-class extruded aluminum and rustproof galvanized tubes, Lynx offers unlimited color alternatives in oven-baked coating standards (RAL 9016 white standard). Stainless steel Inox bolts and connection pins used at all critical junction points grant a lifetime skeleton strength without corroding.

Combining outdoor aesthetics and water drainage, Lynx ensures that rainwater drains smoothly from the side lines without accumulating or pooling, thanks to its patented drop-model valance profile located on the front valance line. It can be produced with Somfy motorized or manual gear-driven (crank handle) options.

Lynx Advantages

  • Economical & Modular: A modular frame that is both budget-friendly and 100% compatible with ceiling/wall mounting.
  • Stainless Steel Inox Bolts: Rust-free Inox connection pins and hardware even in humid weather.
  • Stepless Pitch Adjustment: Vertical angle adjustment between 0 and 45 degrees via mechanical hubs.
  • Drop-Model Valance Profile: A drop profile that prevents rain accumulation and adds aesthetic weight.

CASE STUDY

Lynx Solution to a Roadside Cafeteria's Wind and Sun Needs

Project Need: A modern and breezy cafeteria on the Bursa Mudanya coastline was unable to utilize its outdoor tables due to the scorching sun hitting the facade all day, creating a need for a sturdy wind-blocking shade against fierce coastal winds.

Real Solution: Our engineering team installed 3 side-by-side combined Lynx Articulated Awnings equipped with custom gearboxes and a 45-degree vertical pitch along the business facade. Combined with stainless Inox hardware, this system displayed high resistance against coastal winds.

Result: Thanks to the drop-model valance profile, customers were protected even during sudden summer rain showers. With the stepless pitch adjustment, changing sun angles were blocked at all hours of the day, ensuring 100% table usage and significantly increasing business revenue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most asked technical and installation details about the Lynx Articulated Awning:

Can a classic articulated awning be left open in windy weather?

Classic articulated awnings are economical and practical solutions; however, during stormy winds (40 km/h and above), it is recommended to keep them closed or activate an optional wind sensor to prevent damage to the mechanism and arms.

Is the extension distance of an articulated awning adjustable?

Yes, the forward extension amount of the articulated arms can be limited to the desired angle and within extension projection limits (150, 200, 250, 300, 350 cm) during installation or usage.

Does the fabric of a classic articulated awning fade under the sun?

At Real, even in our classic articulated awnings, we use imported Spanish acrylic fabrics with high fade resistance, UV protection, water repellency, and colorfastness guarantee.

Can the Lynx articulated awning be mounted on a ceiling or wall?
